Been roasting okra for quite a while. Lot easier clean up than frying. Doesn't taste as good, but don't have to mess with oil.

Tried a different method last night. Cut the stem end off and split down the middle...tossed in olive oil...light sprinkle with cornmeal then seasoned with salt, pepper, garlic powder and cumin....then into air fryer basket 400 degrees 20 minutes..stopped at 10 minutes and tossed basket...."okra fries" delicious side dish!!

Exactly why we started exploring other methods....we love skillet fried okra but its messy and dealing with the used oil gets old.

FYI, if you're doing that method, there's no need to cut the stem-end off. I never have for ours, and it doesn't end up woody or anything
