44.5gr. N110, Hornady SST 250 grain bullets, Winchester primers.

Why?

sub 1/2" groups at 100 yds, and a nice tough bullet to get the job done.

I shoot the one supplied by Hornady in the package.

I'll have to give them a try. I've seen problems with some factory supplied sabots not being strong enough to survive the pressure and velocity of the Savage.

I tried some hornady ssts with supplied sabots this morning and they were too loose in my barrel.

Google 'MMP Sabots', and order a pack of MMP short blacks. They'll fit better and work better. They'll have 'em too ya in 2 or 3 days.

shoota280, Hornady makes a SST that is supposed to be easier to push down the barrel.

Are your bullets marked as 30% easier to load?
