Food Plot Question..

Here's my little issue..

I've got a small spot of woods that I would like to put a small plot on.. It's around a 1/2 acre open bottom.

The land is basically a funnel consisting of 2 hillsides, with a good pond in the West facing side of the woods.. I've got a ladder stand setup on the dam side of the pond. It overlooks a small valley. I wanna put something on this bottom area in front of my ladder stand. I know I need to get my Ph levels checked, but does anybody have some kind of an idea what type of seed?

I will go get pictures tomorrow, and give everyone a better idea.

clover is a good choice,but the QDMA food plot book is a wealth of knowledge,you can get it off their web site,put it in the bathroom.Ive read it a dozen times.

I didn't get a chance to take the pics today... But I know alot about trees and such. I've already planted dogwoods, red buds, and crab apples on this spot in the years past.

Without buying the qdma book, can somebody tell me some type of seed that will be good in a clay soil..

I would like a perennial type seed.
