If you can use a hammer or shoot waterfowl you can use a fly rod. I started at 9 and learned from a black and white book. Bluegill and bass are perfect targets. Remember... you are casting the line the "bug" will follow...I imagine the internet makes this much easierI bought a cheap fly fishing combo setup, just to learn how to fly fish. Haven't even taken it out of the packaging yet. It looks like fun, but it may be more trouble to learn than what I am thinking(I hope not). I have no interest in tying flies at this point, but I'd like to catch some bass and bluegill on it, if I can figure it out.
SameOnly fishing I do. Love it
I roll my own for the most part but I have to admit, it'd probably be a lot cheaper to buy them. I have spent a small fortune on tying materials and accessories but I enjoy doing it and like catching fish on my own flys.. I have no interest in tying flies at this point,
