Fishing the stocked trout streams

How long does the good fishing last after the trout have been stocked? Afew days, a week, more? I was at one location 2 days after stocking and everyone had 4 or 5 trout, so I wondered how long that kind of fishing lasts after the monthly stocking.

Not long, if there is heavy baitfishing pressure. Some of our rivers over here where it is delayed harvest and artifical only, they last a long time. Size of the river also has alot to do with it, as well, as amount of fish stocked.

I fish the Mid TN area and will often hit the stocked streams in my area. usually the ones that stay in the area where they are stocked get caught quick, but if you can move away (down stream) from there then they will be around for a little while.

Ok cool guys, I appreciate it. I think Im gonna give it a try this saturday if I can. Im working on a Habitat house on the weekends lately and one of the streams is real close to the house. So it might be nice to do a little saturday afternoon wading after a day of work.
