Fishing near Franklin

I've gotta go to a 3 day conference in Franklin in a few weeks. I'd like to fish the evenings. Can't take a boat so looking for tailwaters, streams, public ponds, etc. Even interested in a trout stream. I know nothing about the area. Any pointers?

Small buzzbaits and top water early in the morning can be allot of fun on the harpeth. I have not really fished in the evenings but it would probably work then too.

Caught a few small ones on the Harpeth. Water is WAY low. Map shows all kinds of small rivers/creeks but mostly dry. Thanks for the info though, we enjoyed walking the bottoms.

No problem. I heard it was low. It can be difficult in those conditions. Sorry you didn't have better luck.
