I've shot a few groups with factory ammo on sight in and just playing around while breaking the barrel in, but shot a ladder earlier in the week with virgin brass, H4831and some 140 NBTs. All of those shots fit into this group… shows some promise

Then went to day with virgin brass and 9 rounds loaded at the same weight and got this with my first five shots of the day

Then followed it up with this 4 shot group

Some velocities were more erratic than I expected so I hope that those go away with once fired brass

I have both, and CCI is usually my go to, but my savage hates federals and I thought that I would try them on the tikka. I probably will try them out at some point

No, just cci250 magnum rifle primers. I've had good results with Winchester in the past but I've got ammo I loaded 4 or 5 years ago with Winchesters, both large rifle and large rifle magnum that are experiencing fail to fires.
I've got a buddy that's had a bunch of Winchester primers leak and etch his bolt face.

I'll have to try those. I have been using FGMM for 30 years and have never really strayed from them.
