Thanks. I haven't run any traps the last 2 years, but when I did I always used corn as bait so I would only catch coons (no possums or skunks). Was thinking about setting traps again this year. Guess I should switch to cat food. How do you dispatch a skunk without them spraying?

They say to shoot them in the lungs. Every one I have ever shot sprayed but don't know if I ever lung shot one. I haven't caught any skunks I had to dispatch.

Shot one last week thru lungs & no spray. I always use hollow points on them.
