First mater samich

Don't have garden, so I been waiting for my local farmer to set up. Today was the first early girl maters. Fried some bacon and had them with a big swipe of dukes mayo. Boy do I love fresh maters

I can still remember the first one I ever ate.

Our corner street neighbor caught a catfish so big I laid down beside it, it was longer than me.
The yard was full of kids running around and screaming having fun with the monster.
His wife brought out teeny sammiches of BLT with mayo dripping.

I was addicted at that point.

I love one with the juice and mayo running out of it with every bite, and never thought of eating one over the sink. I love to take bell pepper slices and put on mine also instead of the lettuce.
