I feel for you. We lost ours two years in a row and cleaned everything up and let things set empty and a swarm moved in last year and split this year. Hopefully this happens for you too. That's Awesome!
We lost both of our hives and haven't gotten any more yet.
If nobody else replies, I can give you a guys number that lives in cookeville that might come get them.Boy, your post came at an opportune time. Not to hijack, BUT, I have a swarm of bees that got in between the siding of my house and my chimney. I don't really want to annihilate a nest of honey bees. Are there any other options? I tried to post on a bee keepers forum but I got no responses. Any suggestions, Chiflyguy?
Congratulations on the honey harvest but I thought the frames had be be 3/4 capped before the moisture content was at the proper levels. But I'm old school. My wife calls me the most impatient person in the world.
Harvested three frames 50% full
Got 5.3 pounds of honey
