I've been watching the same doe and 2 youngins all spring and summer. I already had it in my mind that if I got a shot at any of them I would take it. I've never killed such a young deer in all my years, well i guess in my early years i shot a button buck as my first deer when i was a kid. But never one so early in the season. I'm fired up because i know its gonna be super tender. I'd like to get my does out of the way early. Every year I say I'm going shoot a bunch but I end up passing on them later in tge season due to the weather (I process my own deer and I dont have any cover so the cold and wind cut like a knife). Anyway I'm still waiting on the big boys to come around. I've got quite a few shooters. I shot her with a rage 2 inch and those are the enter and exit holes. I would have thought they would be bigger

Thanks yall. I used to refrain from shooting these young deer but after seeing several members that shoots them and talks about how good they are I had to try it out. We have plenty of deer here and I still pass on small bucks. If its legal and you want to then do your thing. I just went and bought some stuff to marinate it with lol
