After 3 years I finally put down a doe. It was all I had hoped for. I was watching a small doe come through and to my right I heard the leaves. The two deer kinda had a stare off and she moved her head behind a tree and I drew. When she walked from behind the tree she started up the hill. She then gave me a perfect broadside shot at 15.yards and I.released the trigger. She went down immediately. I had hit a little high on the done. She was laid over but still moving. I took the follow-up shot with a fixed blade as I didn't want to risk the broad head not opening. Straight through the lungs and the deer expired. The other small deer stayed around and I watched ittill it left and my adrenaline calmed down. I climbed.down and gathered my things and went to see her. I thanked her for giving her life and thanked God for providing it. Then came my.First gutting. I had some things I read through.again and successfully did it without.rupturing anything. Love the havalon knife. I then propped her up tolet the blood.drain and went home to get the truck. II checked her in and while doing it under landowner which I hope I did right cause the numbers were longer than. The places.I carried her back and snapped a couple of pics and took to the processor. Get to the processor and didn't even know how to get it cut up. Thankfully a guy came in and told me might be best to do reg cut the.First time. Any suggestions on this would be helpful. Also I was looking at my land taxes and couldn't figure out the parcel and map. I used what looked to be right.

Awesome, congrats! Nothing like your first, whether it's a deer or a girlfriend! :) (still haven't figured out which I enjoyed more ;) )
