With Saturday's weather looking horrible my buddies said they were heading to our lease this morning but wouldn't you know my daughter was gone to a school function so I had to take my son to school and couldn't go hunt first thing. After dropping him off I drive the 90 miles and got in the tree at 9:30. Didn't see a thing so about 1:00 I moved spots. Once settled I realized the wind was more than I thought so climbed down and went to another spot. About 4:00 an 8-pt crossed the food plot but didn't give me but about 5 seconds. Looked like a wide rack but just couldn't check him out long enough before he got into the thick woods. I looked to the skies and said thank you Lord for letting me at least see a good buck. Thinking that was it I catch movement around 4:45 in the same spot the first deer came from and it was another 8-pt. He walked right behind a cedar tree and I pulled my gun up and sat there for what seemed like 10 minutes. He finally stepped out and the smoke rolled. Dropped in his tracks right there. After looking at him I don't think it was the same deer that I had seen earlier but I'm happy with him and it's meat in the freezer.

Edit: no idea why the pics are sideways. :bash:

Congrats, who is that in the picture? I know I haven't seen you in a while but that doesn't look like you. Maybe I need my glasses. I don't know.

Weird thing happened. A few years ago my beard started going white. Not grey but white. It's now pretty much solid white which is ironic because the hair on my head is still brow. Guess I'm unique. :tu:
