First bow kill. After missing a nice eight early in the season, and having another within 10 yards but not present a shot, I finally scored. 30 yd shot from the stand in the background of the pic. Buck jumped the string, but the arrow caught him high in the lung and spine. Dropped instantly. Stoked.

Funny thing, I have noticed over the years, it sometimes takes several years to kill the first one. Then, you kill one every year.

At the old Anderson Archery Show, I had a guy tell me he had been bowhunting 23-years and had never killed one. I tend to think he wasn't in it for the meat.
 
Thanks all for the kudos. Was very concerned about making a bad shot and having to track or not even find the deer. Nice to see them respond like this one. He passed quicker than many deer I've shot with a rifle. Plinker - this was in Tennessee, near Allons.
