This will kind of be along the lines of the thread a few topics down. I didn't really want to hi jack it so I started this one. I am wanting to get my first AR. I am not sure what's the best route for me to take on this one. I'll say right off I can't justify giving thousands for the very extreme top of the line right now. Right now I just want a basic, simple rifle. However, I don't want complete junk. Would prefer to stay under $700 if possible. The farther under the better. I would rather have everything high quality but I figure a cheaper AR is better than no AR. I don't know if I would be better off buying a rifle or building one. When I say building one I mean getting a complete upper and a complete lower. I have no problem working on my guns but I don't think I should tackle a piece by piece build never owning one before. The thing with building one is, where there are so many companies and options, I don't know which are junk or quality, I don't really know what specifics to look for, or what is a good price on a particular thing. It seems like the more I read on the subject the more confused I get. Basically, all I know for sure is I want an adjustable stock. I would also like something that might be upgradable later on if I wanted to.
