After chaperoning prom Friday night, and a 15 hour round trip jar/bottle and antiquing trip with the wife yesterday, I seriously doubted I'd get out of bed to go this morning. She said "Huh. I thought you were tougher than that." So I knew I wouldn't hear the end of it, and truthfully, I'd be disappointed that I skipped an opportunity. So, up I got and the morning welcomed me with complete turkey silence. I decided to hang in and blind call a spot I like. Turned out to be a good decision. A hen stepped out and brought 3 longbeards along with her. They never made a sound. Strutted for 50 yards or more and finally got some separation at 27 steps. A cluck or two brought their heads up and I was able to fill my last tag at 7:15. My son and I have been very blessed to kill 4 nice longbeards this season, making it the greatest I've ever had. I've tagged out plenty, but that boy puts it into a whole other category! Thanks for reading!

(Yes, I know I didn't get his fan up in the one pic…🤦🏻😂)

Congratulations. Good on the wife to give you some motivation.

You know you can fully commit and take the barrel retail display sticker off.

It's a long story and a running joke between some of my friends. They'll love it when I tell them someone said something about it. Appreciate it.
