On fire this morning

My yearly first weekend of March check didn't disappoint. Got in with this gobbler this morning then circled around and found a few more that were on fire the earlier part of the morning.

Love that sound! Saw 2 strutting with some hens on the way to church this morning and a lone strutter yesterday mid day in a different place. Hard to beat springtime in Tennessee.

I went to put Sibby in her pen for the day about 4:45 and owled 4 times... not a word. Back 10/12 years ago 4 or 5 woulda gobbled.

I went out today and put my game cams back out where I had seen turkeys last month in Hardeman county. Owl hooted and gobbled as i went out through the woods. Sat for a while. Narry a peep.
Gonna go check cams weekend before opener.
