Spent last weekend at Smokemont and weekend before at Cataloochee, great weather both times. Darn elk at Cataloochee are almost a pest in the campground, always around and not scared of people. Rode mountain bikes up Deep Creek and even visited Fire Mountain bike trails, fat man is out of shape.

FYI......if you plan on riding horses at Smokemont know this, no riders over 225lb. They don't have any Clydesdales so my 265lb butt went fly fishing, worked in my favor.

Looks like a great time and my boys love horseback riding. We're supposed to head off to the North Carolina mountains Monday-Wednesday and can't wait for the cooler weather at night
