Fertilize early to make nutrients available as soon as growth begins. But on dry or frozen ground to avoid cutting ruts and causing erosion. Fertilize end of august or first of September to make nutrients available for cool down growth boost and make clover most desirable during bow season. Inter seed some annual clovers to improve the overall stand and provide browse earlier and later as most annuals are more cool season tolerant.
