Our plots are around all of the oil wells,so there is very little if any topsoil. We just wanted to put something down to help the soil, since it's to late in the year for lime to help us out. We just weren't sure which one would be best to use.
Green Patch Plus, Green Beans and Maybe some Clover is what we ( fourwheeler431 and I) are planting on our lease. The Green Beans already have a "grow coat" on them.
I ain't no expert here but,Hook is right alot depends on What your planting and the Soil it is going in.
A Soil Test would tell you the best type to use for what your planting. If time dosen't allow for a good send off soil sample test there are some self tester kits around at some seed/garden stores. I have never sent one off but have used the self test kits in my garden, however I can't say how accurate it has been compared to the other, but the garden grows well.
If your using a commerical seed blend most of them have Fetilzer recommendations on the bag.

You might want to think about talking to someone at your local co-op and let them know what you are planting. They can give you a suggestion. Or better yet talk to a local farmer and see if they can shed some light for you. Even if you have not had a soil test they should be able to make a recommendation that will be benificial to you.
