Food Plots Feed wheat vs seed wheat?

Any drawbacks to saving a few $$ on feed wheat in a plot?

In my opinion yes. Seed wheat is cleaned and sorted. You'll have better germination and weed free seed. One thing of caution this year is farmers had trouble with wheat diseases and quality of their wheat this spring that would make it more worthwhile to buy the seed wheat. Just my opinion

Also ur spreader will stay stopped up with un cleaned wheat.

The feed wheat I buy from the local co op is clean and have no trouble spreading it. $6.50 for a 50 lb bag and grows on a rock , can't beat it as long as they eat it.

Usually get a lot of weed seeds with feed wheat as well.

X2 - seed is usually the least expensive item in a food plot equation...

The seed wheat was $13 a bag at my co-op when I picked it up today.
