Finally FINALLY the monkey is off his back !!!

Everything you can possibly imagine has happened at different times over the last, I think TEN YEARS, that kept him from killing a bird but it all came together this morning. :D

I don't have any pictures, man is in school and I am at work. :(

He and his cousin went this morning and he had some hens and 3 or 4 jakes come out of the woods in front of them and walked straight to his decoy.

He said they got to about 40 yards and they were turning like they were leaving but he said one wasn't leaving and shot.

I am tickled to death.

He is 73 years old and I was beginning to think it was never gonna happen.

:D

Sure wish I could have been there.

Now I need to work on the photo taking skills.

Gravey,
Yep, man has been trying HARD to be the one to call him in one.
They came close two weekends ago but alas it didn't work.

I think when man called me this morning he was more excited than my father-in-law was. :D

He's still got time to get one with him so hopefully it will happen. If so it will be a memory neither will forget. I remember deer hunts from 25 years ago with my Pap clearer than some from last year by myself.
