I call this tree in my yard old faithful because every year it starts dropping about two weeks before the trees start dropping down at my farm . Won't be long now .

I've noticed a few oaks already dropping acorns here in East Tn. as well. Seems we have a good mast crop, despite the heat and drought.

Persimmons, now your talking deer candy. The problem is that they don't usually last long.

They're are dead center of a 40yd strip of timber between beans and corn that got cut this week. There is a lot of sign and I put one of my cameras up on the major trail going right through them. The trees were still heavily loaded up. Prob 10-15 that I saw. Looks good on paper but we wil see. Gonna need a west wind.

People are you seeing more acorns this year? hopefully there won't be a bumper crop but enough to keep them traveling around more.the more we have the less they need to move just my thoughts

Weedeating today seen some chinkapins already dropping good on the side of the road. Going to start checking some of my spots soon and maybe start hunting the acorns

I wish for Fall mast. I wish some mast would Fall. I've seen very few trees with acorns so far and none have started dropping.
