Expectations for the weekend/confidence?

What do you expect?I feel certain if I choose to,I could kill 3 or 4 deer over the weekend.Not so much because Im a great hunter,just plenty of deer,and mediocre hunting skills should put me around some.I figure between Sat morning and Sunday night to see between 20 and 30 deer,what about you?

Based on history, I expect to see 5 or 10. The last few years Ive killed one or two does opening weekend.But I could easily get skunked too.

I have high expectations of seeing deer. I just dont know about putting a tag to one!

I'll see 46 deer heading to where I will hunt at 4am or so. I will see about 50-60 heading back from where I will hunt at around 9pm.
I will probably see 2-3 deer during daylight hours and one of those will be a buck............but spikes aren't on my agenda as of yet.

I have no idea. I've only been in the woods one time on opener and that was last year with my crossbow. Seen 7 bucks and wasn't confident enough in my POS crossbow to take the shot. It dropped about 2 ft at 30 yards and was so loud any deer could duck it.

I'm gonna be hunting a specific buck, Ive posted his pictures on here. He is mature (and big!) it will be a whole new experience as Ive only been shooting compound bows for about two monthes. I've only seen a few mature deer while in stand also(never in bow season). None within 20 yards which is were I expect this one to come out. All I can do is keep shooting at the house and pray he doesn't outsmart me.

I guess I will put it on a scale of 1-10...

For seeing deer, a 6 or 7 (9 or 10 for bumping one on the way in or out)

For killing one, a 3 or 4 (never want to get hopes up)

I'll be hunting Sunday and Brown is Down... might pass up a spike, but only because i know there's a bigger buck using the area, but thank the lord I have 3 buck tags so I might take a spike too if that's what comes my way.

I expect to at least see a few does and if one gets close enough an arrow will fly. Never killed one opening day but came close a few times. maybe this year.

Expectations for Saturday? I'll be sound asleep at daylight, might lay on the couch and watch some football games during the day, maybe see a doe or fawn run up my neighbor's driveway...

I expect to see a couple of does of which I will pass on in hopes they will get close enough for my wife to get a shot. I'm confident if she gets a shot she will kill.

Im sure ill see a few does, maybe a frequenting spike, but if this guy shows (small 5 pt) Ill probably bust him as my first bow buck. Always let these guys pass, but with work schedule this year its gonna be tough to hunt alot, so he looks like a prime candidate for a first buck with a bow.I have every bit of 1000 pics of this guy.

I am really hoping this boy strolls by.

Good luck to ya'll, i wish i was able to say i would see all these deer but on my cameras all i have got this year are coons, got a yearlings, 2 small bucks and a doe that the coons tried to attack.

I expect to jump a couple out of the field next to the house when I crank up the mower. Other than that, I did not have a lot of hope.

I will be at my sons soccer game the opening morning. Going to go Saturday evening, and Sunday morning. I don't know about the evening hunt, that stand is iffy for evenings, although I have taken a few at that time, but Sunday morning I am pretty sure I will see some deer. Doe or Buck, which ever I get a shot at I will try and take it. With the Kids hunting muzzloader, and rife now, my hunting time is bow only. They are to young to hunt by themselves. But I enjoy thier hunts more than mine.

I'm expecting to see at least a few does. My stand's in a good buck cruising area as well. If a doe gives me a shot I'll tag her and get out of there until later in the season.

Nothing now! After going out yesterday eve and finding that my place had been trashed by 4-wheelers and my roadblock pushed thru and they had ridden all around my stand loc's! My opening day is most likely ruined b/c of sorry entitlement minded trespassers thinking they can go anywhere they want w/o any repercussions. Man I'm mad...

I expect to put a doe or buck down or I would not go hunting. That being said, I have NEVER killed a deer on the opening day of bow season... so there you have my confidence.

However, it is going to happen on 9-22-12.
