tractor supply has there antler king and pot spike on sale im looking at Ak honey hole ,AK no sweat ,Ak slam dunk. and plot spike newzeland blend. have u guys ever used these products likes dislikes. and what do u plant to hunt during bow season. planning on planting a few smaller plots next year. thanks for any input

Im going to pick up the plot spike perennials they have on clearance(orange and green bag). The plus on these is that plot spike has a fool proof guarantee on their seed. Even if you mess it up and it doesnt grow they will replace the seed.

I used the AK no sweat this year but the turkeys killed it in seed form before it even got a chance to grow. I may get a bag or two myself of the one that has the buckwheat in it.

Never used any of those. I usually just buy a mix of seed from the local feed store. If Im bow hunting a plot i like to mix in some peas. They come in early. Your deer may vary though.

If you are going to plant the seed next year, drop it in the deep freezer. I've had bad luck with year old seed not germinating. Freezer trick works every time, plus it keeps the mice out of it to boot.
You probably already know this but just wanted to throw it out there.

I'm not a fan of food plots mixes in general. It's too easy and cheap just to buy your own at the feed store, and not pay a premium for a picture of a deer on the bag or ryegrass or fescue seed you don't want in the first place.

White clover, daikon radish, rye grain and winter wheat.

I see your in my general area of the Tri Cities, where do you get your seed from?

Im not a fan of the ryegrass or forage clover as it seems like they eat around it. They hammered the oats and brassicas though.
