This is a really nice 6 point that I have other pics of in velvet back in early August. Here he is now fully grown in hard horn in my foodplot. Any guess on age? He looks at least 3.5 to me. If I have the opportunity with my bow, he is getting shot.

and here is the pic cropped and zoomed

Hard to tell but yea I would definitely say he is at least 3.5, based on the overall size of his body it wouldn't shock me if he was 4.5

From that one pic, at least 3 1/2 and probably 4 1/2. But I never come to an absolute conclusion based on a single picture. I like to see as many pictures from as many different angles as possible.

I would shoot that buck with whatever weapon the season is open for.

Trust me, I will. I am kind of hoping though that one of my kids gets a shot at him before I do. I would rather watch one of them kill a big deer than kill one myself.

Three of the largest deer I've ever seen in the woods were a 4 pointer and 2 6 pointers. I could have killed them all. After the 3rd time I saw and could have killed one of the 6 pointers I went after him. I never saw him again. If you want him squeeze the trigger.

I agree with BSK. Hard to be for certain with the angle and distance. Multiple pics are always a plus. Looks mature though.
