I was all ready with my gun drawn. It was early, and I could hear the deer running below me but couldn't see them yet. Here comes 2 does with tongues hanging out. I heard a faint grunt but couln't see him. The does cross a saddle upwind of me about 20 yards away and slowed down. We'll here he comes. He had a steady walk. I got ready but he never slowed down. I gave him an "Ehhh" and he stopped. He was kinda a sharp angle and i think I aimed low. I shot, thought i heard him crash, and got down after 2 more bucks ran 2 other does by. I went to impact, no blood. I finally found some white hair. But what about the crash? He crossed a fence, and left a bit of hair on it. I followed his tracked about 75 yards and found about a 1/2 cup of blood where he stopped. I found a drip here and there and one more smaller pool, but no sign of him. I think i just got the brisket or that meat under rib cage. I came home and simulated the same angle and shot, and my bullet hit almost 3 inches low. I gues I'll learn. I don't think I hit any vitals, no meat or bone pieces, but man it sucks.
