1957 Brno Model 4 versus the 2012 CZ 455 Varmint with Lilja barrel
I shot both rifles this morning about 8AM in very god conditions with Eley Match they both shoot pretty well.there was no wind to speak of and I shot the Brno 4 with Redfield Palma/Gehmann 510 rear at 0.85 mm and the Olympic front with 4.0mm clear
the 455VL used the PNW/Gehmann 510 at 0.95mm and the Kimber/Anschutz front at 4.2mm
I shot one sighter target with both rifles less than 10 shots each and shot these two sets of targets,no cherry picked targets at all, these are the only smallbore targets of the day,as I got to shoot a Sako 6mmPPC with 40X Leupold the rest of the day.
I really hope I never have to choose one or the other as that would be tough,,I think I would keep the Model 4 even though the 455VL seems slightly more accurate
shot the Model 4 first and came out with 200/13X
with the 455VL the score was only slightly better at 200/15X but the targets look much better than the score would indicate,,
