Does anyone hunt with a .22 for fox,coyote, or bobcat?

you can but it wouldnt be my first option. but if its all i got then dern right i will.

ive woke up many nights with the dogs barking and look out and be able to see a yote or 2 running around. 22 is closest to the door so bang bang skeet skeet yote down! That was also a long time ago when i still lived with my parents

After I saw what it took to take down a coyote earlier this month, no .22 for me.
They are TOUGH.

when fox and bobcat pelt prices skyrocketed in the late 80's we called every spare moment. we used a 22 mag to minimize fur damage.

I'd opt for hollowpoints if I went with a 22. The bad thing about deer rifles is that they will damage a pelt beyond repair. I used to download 243's to keep from doing so much damage.
