Cut the weights off some of the decoys we used last year and replaced them with some smaller ones this afternoon.

We are officially DONE with decoys.
Drastic change from last year.
Hunted with about 150 decoys last year.
Pushing 900 as of today.
If I run up on a deal I will pick up another 100 or so, but not that worried about it.

Now gotta build two mallard machines and rig up a dozen or so swimmers.

Might not kill any ducks but it won't be for lack of brush or decoys. :D

And my hunting buddies in MD always said I went overboard running 250 goose and duck field decoys. I guess that's why you reelfoot guys leave them out all season. That's gotta be quite the process getting them put out. I assume they take a little bit of readjusting each time you head out?

Geez Louise. You might be regretting it when it comes time to pick them all up at the end of the season. :D

MAN and I had a long discussion about that very thing last week.
I asked him if he remembered how bad he did NOT want to pick up our 150 decoys last year on our last hunt and how grateful the next weekend when he didn't have to because I forced him to do it.

I asked if he was SURE he wanted to put out a thousand of them.
He said he really wanted a couple more hundred. LOL

Figure the last couple of times we hunt we will pull a few at a time.
