Does anyone have any info about Bogota pool 2?

I have hunted pool two and I suppose given the right circumstances it could be worth while. I hunted it when the water was up enough to give the walk in pool (pool 1?) water and that could've been part of our problem. Not trying to be negative but I don't put in for pool two anymore.

Not really the news I was hoping for. I'll probably still give it a shot. How was the food that year?

Food was good. They left a pocket on the south end open but the rest of the corn crop that year was good. One problem we had was one night it locked up. Historically on other pools I've hunted, they'd run the pumps if the forecast looked like they would freeze over. No pumps so we carved out a hole to no avail. When the manager was riding around I inquired as to why no pumping that night and he said that "some people were complaining that the noise of the pumps were scaring the ducks".

I wouldn't be discouraged. Hopefully y'all swat em. Just my $0.02, when we hunted it every duck wanted to work the open water on the south end.

The description on the website says that there is a dead hole on the south end. Is it really that deep. Also what did you do for cover? Are layout blinds a viable option?

Didn't wade across it and never went over my waders but didn't try either. So I don't know how deep the hole is and honestly didn't know there was one there.

We did our best when we moved into the willows on the west side along the ditch closest the the open water on the south side.

Possibly could hunt out of a layout on the levee on the south end.
