Does anyone else get a feeling?

Occasionally I've gotten a special feeling that I was about to kill a deer. I got that feeling last night about this mornings hunt that I would kill my buck at 7:40 am. At 7:38, my buck was down. I believe that your deer will present itself to you when it's time. This buck certainly did that. This has happened before. I'd like to think it's the Holy Spirit speaking to me but I don't really know. Anyone else get that feeling?

The Lord has definitely helped me remove bolts, and just the other day and oil filter off my Tahoe when I said a prayer and asked for his help. That was after I had tried for thirty minutes using three different filter wrenches. I asked for his help and it was off 3 minutes later.

But when it comes to deer, I've never had a vision or thought that it would happen. I do always pray and ask him if it's his will for us to see a deer then so be it, when I have one of my kids out hunting. Most of the time a deer shows up when I least expect it. But I always give him the praise and am thankful anytime one is harvested!

I told my wife I was gonna kill one tonight. Just had that feeling. Saw 3 does and 2 bucks real early in the sit and something spooked them. 2 hours went by with nothing so I got down from my tree 15 minutes before end of shooting light to check a few fields on the way out and there were 13 does in the field behind me. I laid one down right at 100 yards with 1 minute of shooting light left. Called the wife and she knew it.

Years ago on a Monday or Tuesday before Thanksgiving I had a good 6pt cross the road in front of me about 1/2 mile from my house, he stopped on the bank and looked back at me, window was down and I told him I will see you Thursday, Thursday about 8-9 I was setting in the barn behind the house and hit the rattle bag, out he ran looking for a fight, 300wm and it was done. I had to have had help on that short hunt, I had not seen this deer there until that moment

I've killed some of best bucks after thinking the hunt was going to be a bust. And then just... he's there...
That's what I was about to post. Several times things have just seemingly gone all wrong, late getting to the stand, forgot key items that I usually have with me in the the tree, (my coat when it's freezing and I'm already sick!) and when I think it's just not going to be any good that day, it happens, he appears from nowhere. :) On the topic of the thread, I can't tell you how many times I thought "everything is perfect! This will be the day!" And not even see a deer! 😩

December 26 last year I got up in my stand and somehow knew without a doubt I was going to at least have the opportunity. I don't get that kind of for sure feeling like this one was. I still have the picture that I took at daylight of a half moon rising. Everything was perfect and ended up harvesting an eight pointer that was dogging two young does. I wish I got that feeling of confidence every time, it was a great morning.

Yep, have had that feeling.

Then have also had the hunts of mishaps where I question why I even got out of bed, where everything seems to be an epic failure, and like a light switch was flipped that right one just shows up.

Congratulations on your deer. Look forward to seeing pics.

My wife died Dec 12 2012 . Before that i never killed anything but small rag horned bucks ( i lived in South Fl) 4 days later i was supposed to hunt with a group of guys and every single one cancelled on me . I went and sat anyway . I was just thinking about my wife and how much i missed her and why God took her from me and how much she endured and i look up and the biggest buck i have seen was standing right in front of me !!!! I shot him and he droped . I looked up and said thank you honey . Both my wife and God smiled on me that day !!!! I look at that deer ever day on my wall
