My buddy had pics on several occasions this year of a buck we nicknamed Muley. He erased them before I could get a copy but he has a very distinct rack that will make him easy to distinguish in the future. He's a perfectly symmetrical young mainframe 10 pointer and right now he scores about 110. His G2 and G3 on both sides are a fork just like on a mule deer. His G4s and the end of his main beams are also a fork just like a mule deer. It looks just like you took a mule deer rack and swapped it over to a white tail deer. Anyone have any really unique racks that instantly let you know just which buck you're looking at?

Mike,

Twice I've photographed "muley racked" bucks on my place. However, the two bucks were so many years apart, I doubt they were related, even though they look similar.

The first:

And the second:

But as for "distinctive features," every year I have a buck or two with very unique antler characteristics. This year, I had two.

The first was a buck with a double left beam:

The second was a buck with a messed up right antler:
