i want to say thanks to rem 270. Dustin set this hunt up and we tried it 12-12 with no luck. the land owner graciously let me come back this afternoon alone
I knew where i was gonna go. I got set up about 1245 and at 140 i noticed some does popped out of wood line 100 yds away straight down wind
they took off running straight to me and got to about 50 then 2 started turning in circles the other two facing each other
one does head was blocking the other shoulder so i put cross hairs in front of the nose and a lil back on the big one
bam
they all take off and run and run and run and run then she fell after about 120 yd run ...... i felt like i was archery hunting
buzzards were on her in less than 5 minutes so i climbed down and drug her over close to my tree
i enjoyed a great evening
checked of county 49/95 with a hoss doe
all i have left out west is lake dyer and crockett I will worry about them next year
doe dressed 104.5
