lookin for a quality compact 9MM like a Kahr or a Sig 250 or something,,lookin at the Rem 700 SPS Tact 223 with 9 twist 20 inch bbl,,and the CZ 452 Full Stock,,

leaning to the SPS tact right now,,

I think with the 75 AMax I could retire all my big guns for 10 months of the year and save a fortune on ammo,,but would still like one more CCW,

JBM Ballistics says it will stabilize just fine. And I have read of several others shooting them out of a 1/9 twist on other forums.

The 77 gr Sierra is the bullet some 9`s won`t shoot some will. The 75`s are like peas and carrots in a 9".

Not an ammo expert, but I've had my eye on an sps tact for sometime. Give it a try!! Then sell to me cheap if you don't like it. LOL

They didn't stabilize for me in my 1/9 twist Stevens .223. They do however run well in my Borden Alpine with a 1/8 twist Rock 5R barrel in .223AI.

I'd go the compact pistol route.

The DAO trigger on the Sig P250 is not really good and they have these weirdo proprietary sights that cannot be replaced so you are stuck with what you get. I would go the Kahr route if you like that. The Sig P239 is a great single stack 9mm that can be had in a DA/SA or the awesome DAK trigger.

Good info 10mm...I shot the 250 and hated it. Compared to my 226 it was junk but I like the sig line.

I'd get the carry piece. You have enough rifles fill the largest void.

but on the other side of the arguement i bought a rem 700 in 223 for the very reason u want one. cheap to shoot!!

I would go with the handgun for CCW and if SHTF it is hard to conceal a SOCOM16.

Here's an idea! A gun I just shot, and loved, was a Colt AR-15 in 9mm. It is all the fun of a rifle @ the 9mm price. It was dang accurate too w/absolutely no recoil. It was one of the best shooting experiences I have had in a while. I didn't buy it and was gonna go back this week and pick it up but it was gone.
