Well I took Dan out this morning squirrel hunting, few tree's but seemed like ever tree had a hole in it. I heard what I thought were some dogs treeing in the distance, looked at my GPS and mine were 60 yards away so I knew they wern't mine. Then my GPS beeped... Dan's signal was lost...??? I headed to Roi, then Dan came back in and Roi dissappeared... Cave... I yelled at 'em and pulled them out of there.. 70 yards further and they were at it again. When I got there Roi's mouth was bleeding I looked in the hole and it was a possum. I shot it, Dan pulled it out and they made "sport" of it. Well after all that I thought I'd take them out tonight and just see what Dan would do (Roi doesn't really tree, he'll bay something and get involved when it hits the ground though. Well headed out and Dan struck and ran something in a hole, I pulled them away and we went on our way. Dan stuck again and sure enough he had something in a tree about 150 yards away. Sure enough he had a coon, now he's never been shown a coon in a cage, this sucker just figures it out on his own every time. Roi joined in after the fact but Dan tree'd it and gets all the credit.

That's for sure MDM! I've heard some folks say their dog's wouldn't tree squirrels after coon hunting. Doesn't seem to have hurt Dan. He tree'd 4 times this morning. Shot one, the other tree's all had holes. I never realized how many tree's have holes in 'em. Seems like every tree that squirrrels are in. lol

This morning.

Brad it seems like the better weather gets them moving more. The.other day it was cold and nasty just sitting and watching I watched 3 squirrels go in and out of holes for 20 minutes
