My Dad and my youngest with a 7 pt my Dad killed a few days ago. Nothing better than my boys getting to hunt with their Papaw!!
He's 68 and still killing them with his compound, truly blessed!

That is awesome. Congrats. It seems like no matter how old they get, they still take us to school!

Congratulations to your Dad! It is folks like him that were the backbone of support for TNG&F and TWRA that gave us the ability to move towards the great deer and turkey populations we now have. I'm betting he could tell you stories of when just seeing a deer track was an exciting event.

I'm glad he can still enjoy it and reap some of the benefits of his support!

Thanks Steve, and yep he tells my boys how good it is now compared to when he was young! He used to take the time and make several trips a year to middle/west TN when I was young so I could have a legitimate chance to see/kill some deer each yr. Im just happy that since he's retired he can now enjoy being able to hunt close to home and not have to travel just to see a deer!
TWRA has done well overall imo!

Yea your rite Winchester, my dad is 70 and he's like a young kid at deer season!! Congrats to your dad and the young fella sure is growing up!

Good luck the rest of the season! ;)

Very cool. My dad is 72 and he's killed 4 this year with his crossbow. His best year ever. Had to give up the compound a couple of years ago. It's 100 times more exciting when your Dad or kids kill one than when we do. We gotta treasure these days, they won't be here forever.....

Thanks guys and your right time is precious as we get older!
I just thank the Lord he and my boys are getting to experience hunting with each other, me included!!
