For folks that hunt in CWD counties, are ya'll hitting the woods with modern firearms this weekend or sticking with a bow or MZ?

I am not hunting there, but I will wager they will have rifles in hand if they know they can!

One of the public land spots I hunt is bow only, I will be there this weekend hoping everyone else elects to go somewhere they can use a rifle.

I'll have my synthetic/stainless Tikka 7mm-08 topped with a Zeiss Conquest in hand. I love my Knight Disc Elite, but why fly coach when TWRA says you can fly first class? [emoji16]

Friday hunting with the CVA .45 caliber smokeless, Saturday with the Browning Abolt .270 and Monday in Iowa with the Excalibur crossbow. Three different weapons on 3 consecutive hunts.

My Tikka T3x Hunter in .270 with a Leupold VX3i 4.5 x 14 x 40 will be my companion for the remainder of the season.

I bow hunted last Saturday during muzzle loader season but I'll have my A-Bolt 30-06 this weekend.

Assuming I can get my .223 zero'd shooting the 70 grain Accubond tomorrow I will be there.

If not, Browning A-Bolt in 30/06 with 150 gr Accubonds in front of 60 grains of IMR4350.

One son has his 308 really dialed in with 150 Accubonds while his twin will be toting a 280 sending 140's downrange.

Gonna be good to be back in the forest. It is supposed to be brutal cold Saturday AM.

Headed to Grand Junction in the morning. Only plan to use the muzzleloader tomorrow. Saturday and Sunday the Savage 243.
