I use 93 grains of pyrodex and a 250 grain shockwave in my cva buckhorn. I've tried different powders and 2 of the pellets, but was having grouping inconsistencies. The loose powder works well for mine.

I'm a inch low at a 100 yds . I'm using a 245 or 250 grain power belt I will look and see for sure this evening

That's off of a ballistics calculator and I've verified out to 200. +/- about a .5" I've noticed so far. Groups extremely nice and will probably carry it throughout rifle season too unless I find myself somewhere that a long reach is needed but that probably won't happen.

That's impressive. I didn't think 120 grains would be able to burn all the powder efficiently in a 24" barrel. I think I'll test it out in mine.
Are you using a federal 209 primer?

I use 3 x 50 gr 777 pellets along with a Nosler 300 grain ballistic tip bullet (Jim Shockey marketed bullet from several years ago)

The load is very accurate at 100 yards. After measuring muzzle velocity, I used a ballistic calculator to get rough aiming points. I have not shot it any further than the 100 yard zero as my early season stands provide shots within 120 yards.

I've taken several deer with this set up, most drop in their tracks. The only draw back is this "Magnum" load in a somewhat light muzzle loader rifle will kick like a mule. I notice the recoil when confirming zero, but never feel the shot when shooting at game.

Made a questionable shot today with a big buck quartering toward me.... He took the round in the chest cavity and ran 75 yards before falling. This was the first time the bullet failed to exit.

I keep saying that I am going to test the gun with 2 x 777 pellets (100 gr).

Yes,don't know if it's a fed but it's 209. She ain't too dirty when I patch it out afterwards either so don't know what to tell ya. I'm overly impressed with how it shoots. So much so that I'm probably gonna buy one of their higher end models. Believe Bergara makes their barrels…I know they are owned by them and their higher end models do have a Berg but nothing is said about what the Wolf. Doesn't matter because it's a jewel in my book.

The wolf definitely is the best bargain ML. I bought one a couple of years ago when someone posted they were having a sale. Bought the stainless and black version with the scope mount for like $220 to my door. I'm going to try the 120 gr 777 load in mine since you have had such good results.

That was a fantastic deal! I bought a new SS model for my daughter a few years ago for $250 at the LGS, with the Konus scope and all accessories.

In my accura v2, I run 115 grains loose triple 7 under 240 grain xtp 's.

Yeah I'm looking heavily at those Accura. Can only imagine how accurate they are. I'm not trying to blow smoke,,but I really am super impressed by the way the thing shoots. The trigger is super crisp too. The only thing I've had a "problem" with was the noise of the stock so I took the pad off and filled it with expanding foam and trimmed it back a little. Pretty dead sounding now.

We have three accuras and they are all one hole shooters with 100 grain blackhorn and 260 harvester pt golds

Great idea- it does have a hollow plastic sound that's annoying.
