First time shooting it. After 2 rounds of leftover n110, I loaded it with 56gr H4198 HLBC, winchester primer (leftovers), XTP at 50 yards I am well pleased.

Just wanting to shoot and see if I had some consistency before I put my savage up for sale.

Below is shot 3 and 4.

below if you look closely you will notice shot 5 in there. 3 shots in 2 holes, I am tickled. I realize its only 50 yards, but I'll back it up soon.

2 of the 3 shots was shot by TN.Larry.... Our rest was a round hay bale.

Results look promising so far. Hopefully, it will hold up when the temps go down and the powder charge goes up a little. Promising start and a darn sweet gun as well!

Actually it was VERY easy to load, which made me a little nervous before I shot it. I was thinking immediately they would probably need to be knurled.

I still have to bump up to 60gr H4198, and change bullets.

I know the action is extremely tight, not sure how that plans in accuracy. I thought about lubing the pivot pin a little, but havent researched it yet.

Hows the loading pressure? Barrel seem to be on the loose side or pretty tight?

It's definitely not hard to load. It doesn't fly down with super ease but definitely easier than my Encore conversion. Time will tell in October when the temps get cooler and the powder goes up. I don't expect it to shoot that good but believe that it will be just fine though.

Loads much tighter started late and got it on paper. Last 2 shots real close but ran out of light. Gonna try again this weekend. Just got in 100 sst's from Luke so it's not a buck a shot  also gonna try some mmp's for the cva 45-70 so I don't have to knurl hopefully the accuracy doesn't diminish. Will post results.

You can take a 45-70 Gov. centerfire barrel and have a breach plug installed. You can then load smokeless powder and a .45 bullet in it. The centerfire barrels are rated for the pressures from smokeless powder allowing you to make a smokeless muzzleloader.
DO NOT try to use smokeless powder in a regular muzzleloader barrel. Savage 10ML is the only production smokeless muzzleloader that I know of.

Smokeless powder = cleaning isn't necessary. Just normal maintenance of a centerfire.
