Sitting in a big flat 30 acre Creek bottom. This afternoon is the first time I have even been down here since last Feb. It's only accessible by foot. Only one point of entry and it stays locked and gated. Owner only bush hogs once a year in late summer. I don't even know if there is any buck sign down here. But there usually is always deer though. It's about a half a mile walk down here. Luckily for me the owner has given me a key to the gate. But I am under strict orders I can only drive on the property while retrieving a deer. Here's to hoping I get to unlock that gate tonight...lol

My kind of thick but I would get off that sendero and find me a pot in the thick stuff. I wouldn't put all my eggs into one basket, as in waiting for one to cross or wander out.

There is a heavy crossing about 80 yds down. They usually slowly meander across. Sometimes walk toward me. Your right bowriter it's super thick. It's a 10 year old clear cut full of cane poles. It's like a jungle.

Bet it could make a good food plot with a little work and some clover.
I'd love to. The soil is very rich down here. But the owner objects to it.

That's my kind of stuff as well. Heck I'm sitting in a creek bottom right now, but the trees are more mature. I love those 10 year old thickets though, some of the best for deer

what kind of gun are you hunting with, I don't see a ramrod, and good luck :) ;) , smokeless is the way to fly

which ramrod are you using pieces or a single ? my next will be a 45/70 conversion
