Hello...I've got a buddy who is looking for a bow for his son. How far down poundage wise can a 50 to 60 pound bow usually be reduced? Thanks

50 lbs. Cranking out limb bolts too far can be risky . Most bows perform best at their maximum weight range , so it's better to buy a bow that can be cranked up to his maximum draw weight .
Correct draw length is very important too . ;) It's better to buy a bow that fits him properly and can be adjusted as he grows .
