I called in two more today, one left. This makes 4 total called in and 2 shot. I've called in more coyotes this year than turkeys. I'm wondering if the coyotes coming to turkey calls so much has caused the birds to be tight lipped.
I shot them every chance I get. Deer or turkey hunting.Kill them before the put a dent in your turkey population
invasive species. hogs do far more monetary/habitat damage, but we could get by without coyotes too.I shot them every chance I get. Deer or turkey hunting.
We don't have hogs here yetinvasive species. hogs do far more monetary/habitat damage, but we could get by without coyotes too.
I never thought about them already getting the gobbling birds.Coyotes can also make them not gobble because they already ate the gobbling turkeys.
But they are especially devastating on nesting hens
If you have any woven wire fences around, the coyotes will run them into the fence then catch them. I hate woven wire fencesI never thought about them already getting the gobbling birds.
Same here. A few years ago it was like I couldn't go turkey hunting without seeing one or calling it in.I'll burn a TSS shell on a coyote without hesitation. I've caught several on trail cameras in the last few months but haven't had any come in while turkey hunting yet.
I've burned two of those high dollar shells on them this yearI'll burn a TSS shell on a coyote without hesitation. I've caught several on trail cameras in the last few months but haven't had any come in while turkey hunting yet.
If anyone needs to be reimbursed for the tss shell I'm sure we can arrange that, I know they're pricey.Sucks to waste a tss shell on em but gotta do it…killed one a week ago
