I just got an electric caller, but was wondering...I have stands set up in spots where I have good visibility, and deer hunt from these stands (mostly ladders). If I don't move, the deer ignore me for the most part. Will a coyote ignore a motionless hunter in a stand, as long as the wind is right, or do I have to be totally hidden? I plan on placing the caller 25-50 yards in front of the stands. I have no experience dealing with coyotes.

Don't see why you can't but remember they are the most keen animal you will ever hunt asides a turkey, once you either kill or shoot and miss whatever the case my be, consider that set history calling from especially if you miss they educate very well!

If you are going to be making alot of set-ups then skip the hassle of running up and down trees. If they are coming in they are coming in. Keep your eyes moving and be in a position to shoot without alot of movement and try to stay quiet when readying for the kill.

I shot one from a ladder stand this fall. The other one I was sitting on the ground. I just happened to be downwind of both. I plan on calling from that ladder stand after deer season

Coyote hunting is much more effective on the ground. Not saying you won't kill one in a stand, but if you plan on calling, you will kill very few resident coyotes while stand hunting.
