Not sure if it is the card or the camera but the videos I am getting are not very good quality. I am using the regular blue Sandisk 16 gig card. I know the better cards can be written to faster but will this make my videos better? I'm not real disappointed in the pictures but think 8MP pictures should be a little clearer.

Just wanted to ask here for opinions before I call Covert.

Honestly, this does not surprise me. I run several of my cams in video mode and I've made a few posts here about video quality with the Covert MP6/MP8. I run 3 MP6's. In my experience, the video quality is just not very good. The issue is that the MP6/MP8 records standard definition video (640x480) while other cams in the $125 price range like the Stealth G42 and the Browning Dark Ops record HD video. The MP6/MP8 is a great little black flash camera for photos, but it just wasn't designed to take good quality video.

As Vermin eluded to, I doubt it is the card. I have no experience with video mode as I do not use this feature on any of my cameras (the ones that have it). Also, some manufacturers will state a trail camera's mega pixel rating, but will not tell you if it is achieved through software-aided interpolation, or not. Many do use interpolation, which is somewhat misleading. If you purchase a scouting camera solely based on the manufacturer's claimed mega pixel rating, there's a good chance you'll be let down, especially if you are comparing the pictures to an every day digital camera and it's megapixel rating/quality of pics.
