Started collecting traps back when I was in my teens but hadn't added to the collection for around 20 years. Got the bug again and added a few over the weekend. Sargent & Co #3, PS&W #4 , Briddell No Escape 7 hole and a Newhouse #3 stamped property of US.

Wow, really nice. I have done a lot of trapping but never got into collecting. Seeing these makes me kinda wish I had.

I like the old stuff. Couple of those should be pre 1900 or little after. It can get addicting. I passed on a bear trap with setting springs for $500 in Nebraska about 15 years that I still regret to this day. Some of them can bring some good money.

Have you seen any like this one? From my Grandfather and Uncles who trapped mostly muskrat in the marsh back in the 1940's
