I'm not on the Jeff fisher train but who do you guys want.

1) is freeze and gus really true candidates for the job (probably not)

2) I guess the Vols could get a coordinator with 0 head coaching experience..... O wait they just done that, with with a man who won national titles in the SEC.

So what's the name that's gonna come to knoxville and turn this mess around?
 
Does Herman or Gus really wanna walk into this mess, four straight coaches fired or jumped ship (Kiffin) after 4 years or less.

Coming off a 3-7 record. Under investigation a total trainwreck.

If so good deal, but I'm not so sure some of these big names people are throwing around are even interested a bit. Would probably wait for another job opening
 
When a coach with Fisher's experience talks, people listen.
He'd be good for the program and for recruiting.
Young players would respect him for his accomplishments.
It's not about winning it all, but establishing a winning culture and mindset.
The players still need to learn how to play the game.

It's a good question you raise . I've said Gus several times will be coming to vols and I still think that . Mainly because he is a wash out and wants to somehow remain in the SEC . But not sure any coach with any name to himself would go to the vols in the middle of this dumpster fire . Look at the last coaching hire fiasco and how you wound up hiring a assistant coach from ALABAMA

I'm not clamoring for Freeze, or anybody else for that matter, but what you typed is one of the dumbest things I've ever read.
 
Its all matter of opinion, we have as much going for us as any top 10, except the right direction, which can change in a hire
 
Tennessee Head Coach Football is nowhere near a top 10 job right now. With the looming investigation, I'm not sure Tennessee is even a top 10 job in the SEC. Nationally, I'd say Tennessee is somewhere around 20th, but really only because its an SEC job with some history.

I think most would disagree at the moment, including some of the coaches looking for a job.

They was more of a top 10-15 job after Kiffin let us high and dry....and they got Dooley from Louisiana tech.

So I wouldn't have my heart set of Herman, gus, or freeze.... Not even sure those guys are really interested.

I tend to agree with this. Mid 20 is where I would put them mainly because it is a SEC job. Phil can blab all he wants about History and Facilities all he wants to but at the end of the day you have to be able to be ready to play anybody anywhere anytime...and the vols simply have not been ready or able to do that in a really long time.
