With onions and jalapenos. Its different, I like it a couple times a year. The younger it is the better it is.

If you grow corn I am sure you have seen it.
Amazingly it tastes like a fungus but if its too mature (ruptured spilling black spores) its bitter and well not good.
Besides most things taste pretty good when fried in butter with onions and Jalapenos.
The mexican workers treat it like its a special treat.
I will say its either an acquired taste but I have to say I want it to taste better than it does.
or Its just that I like unusual and different foods.

LOL pretty much.
A little variety for when the emergency food stores get boring and the MRE's are gone.
It does not taste like a mushroom although it is mild unless over ripe.
Clearly from the responses above there will not be a shortage lol
