I saw where a fellar posted a link about boiling the omelets in freezer bags and I thought that was neat.
What are some other tips for camping and cooking?
What are some of your favorites to cook while camping?

I like to make gumbo or jambalaya; my brothers and I have cooked one or the other several times when we go camping.

We'll also cook fish--usually trout--over some coals.

For breakfast we usually have sausage, biscuits and an "everything omlet". That's eggs, bell peppers, hot/italian sausage, onions, garlic, potatoes, and cheese.

My dad makes white chili when he goes camping.

Shish Kabobs.
I take a marinating tupperware dish with me of stk & fresh veg.
Easy teriyaki Marinate: Cheap red wine, soy sauce, onion, garlic, salt & pepper to taste. This will keep for a very long time too.

My favorite meal while camping:

tenderloin and shrimp kabob's
twice cooked baked potatoes over the fire pit
wrapped vegetables over fire pit (add bacon for flavor)
cast iron dutch oven cobbler in the fire pit

We have a cook tent at our deer camp. I don't know how many Cobblers we put out of there every year along with the pans of cornbread, taters, beans, steaks, pork chops,.......
