I know one thing: anyone who did PPV for that fight should be highly PO'd that he stepped into the ring already injured. Saw a video of him taking off his shoes and preparing to enter the ring, and it was noted then that he looked injured.

There are no pay per view UFC cards anymore

Conor McGregor the movie star that got his azz beat by old azz Floyd Mayweather??

🤣 🤣
Floyd Mayweather and Jake Paul have both made very lucrative careers of fighting big names well past their prime or outside of their disciplines.

I didn't realize it but it was almost 5 years to the day since his last fight (loss due to a broken leg).

I can understand McGregor's urgency to get back into the ring, especially considering that his return was the main event. His return probably needed to be on the main card but not the main event. He's no doubt an MMA all time great, if for nothing else than his self promotion.

Not a bad fight card overall. Connor has been done for a long time. I doubt he ever comes back and if so it won't end well for him.

I don't think Conor's knee was compromised pre-fight. He just looked to get off balance and stumble when taking off his shoes before getting in the cage. IMO, Conor found out your 37 yr old knee can't do the same acrobatic stuff that your 27 yr old one can. I hate it happened like that but not too suprised being he'd been away for 5 years. Like I've heard said before, your prime only comes around once in your life.

As for the fights that did happen, Paddy Pimblett stole the show! That was one of the most impressive chokes I've ever seen.

Paid streaming service. Same difference.
Not exactly. Under the old PPV system, it would've been around $80 for just that 1 event. Paramount+ is around $10 per month for all UFC events and all other shows/content they offer. My yearly cost for Paramount+ will end up being around 30% less than the cost of just the two UFC Freedom 250 and UFC 329 events under the old PPV system.

I understand what you're saying, I'm just pointing out that you are still paying to view the contests.

Footage of Conor warming up backstage has debunked the theory of his knee being compromised going into the fight. He was practicing throwing that opening kick multiple times with no sign of injury to the right knee. He landed wrong and blew out his knee, simple as that.

There's video of him walking pretty gingerly into a Pain Management Center in LA last week. Don't know what it was for. His demeanor during the walk-out is the most subdued I've ever seen him before a fight. Then the video of him taking his shoes off ring-side looks injured. He's crazy enough to go ahead and try that kick knowing he's got some type of knee injury.

I think his knee had some type of injury before the fight, but we'll likely never know for sure. If he is done, I'm very disappointed we never got to see McGregor and Diaz do the tie-breaker match (should've happened 5-6 yrs ago)

That video your referring to shows him at the end look down towards his right knee like something was wrong. He also could've injured it while warming up after that video, so the video doesn't really prove anything.

Sure it does. It proves that up to that point his knee was not compromised enough to keep him from practicing that kick multiple times in warmups. You're right that something could've happened after that footage was captured but up to that point he was well enough to fight. He tried something off the wall at the opening bell ( ie...Masvidal flying knee vs Askren) and it didn't go nearly as planned.
